Meet Toluwa

Toluwa started her career in the EDA field at the Students' Union of Bournemouth University when she was elected to be their Vice President of Welfare & Community 2020-22. Throughout her tenure at the students' union, Toluwa's mission was to 'dissolve stigmas' and introduce the students to a union and university that took the time to learn and celebrate its student body. She launched many initiatives and campaigns that have shifted culture for generations to come. Her most notable initiative is the SUBU Allyship Hub and Strategy
Toluwa has expanded her network and services to consultancy so she can support clients within the higher education and charity sectors. She supports clients with implementing EDI strategies, policy reviews, campaign launches, training for students & staff and facilitating workshops.

Over the last few years, Toluwa has gained a wealth of experience working with different communities. She has worked with Black and Minority Ethnic communities, Women, LGBTQ+ communities, and those with Disabilities and Neurodivergencies. Toluwa is constantly evolving and learning how she can support more groups and expand her knowledge further.

Being a Black Woman, Toluwa is incredibly passionate about supporting her community and doing her part to openly celebrate Women, especially Black Women. She founded The Feminine Edit UK in 2018 to offer women a collective and inclusive space to network, learn from one another & to access opportunities.
